The 2016 Adirondack Winter Challenge Is Coming To New York

Governor Cuomo announces that the cold is here again for the annual 2016 Adirondacks ice fishing and snowmobiling winter festivals. RaChelle Hasley, aide, to the Director of Tourism and Economic Development in Hamilton County, broadcasted her love and adventures of this year's events as experiences. Adirondacks offers tours by boat, plane, foot or on the road as an excursion to the public.

Promoting Winter Tourism in New York’s Beautiful Adirondack Region
 


On Sunday, February 28, 2016 Governor Andrew M. Cuomo will host the 2016 Adirondack Winter Challenge at the Olympic facility in Lake Placid. The day trip will sample a variety of winter activities the Adirondack region has to offer, including hockey, skiing, bobsledding and a variety of other sports, and conclude with a dinner and presentation of awards. 

Media interested in covering the winter activities should travel to the NYS Olympic Regional Development Authority facility located at 2608 Main Street, Lake Placid, NY 12946. Winter activities will take place between 12:30 PM and 4 PM. Parking is provided on location at the Shipman Lot. Participants should dress for cold weather activities, including hats, gloves, boots and scarves.

Media interested in covering the dinner and award ceremony should arrive at the NYS Olympic Regional Development Authority facility located at 2608 Main Street, Lake Placid, NY 12946 by 4:30 PM.

RSVP NEEDED:  All media wishing to attend must RSVP via email at Press.RSVP@exec.ny.gov by Thursday, February 25 at 5 PM. Please indicate whether you wish to cover the winter activities, the award ceremony, or both.
